Assisted Setup File: Buildings Tab
Data Validation & Definitions
Buildings are assigned to each Unit in the system. They are a great way to organize Units depending on your Property Type. For example: In single-family houses Buildings could be classified as the single homes being rented. If you need by-the-bed leasing you would make each bed in the home its own Unit and then each resident is responsible for a different lease.
Below are the field names and descriptions to help ensure each are filled out properly to ensure accurate onboarding of your data.
- Building Name: Name your Buildings however you wish.
- Building Street Address: This is the street address of a building. Normally this is the same as the Property but there are instances for mailing that the buildings inside of an apartment complex have different street addresses. Note that the city and zip are always the same as the property so here we only require the street. If left empty, this field will default to the property street address.
- Building Bin: This is the building identifier or building identification number assigned by the state.
